THE GIFT OF ASKING!

The gift of asking is in fact one of life’s fundamental truth. Just as it is written “Ask and you shall receive”, that has been around for a long period of time. Children are the masters when it comes to asking and they use this formula until they get what they want.

Often times as gown up adults, we tend to lose our ability to ask and we sum up all kinds of excuses and reasons of being rejected anytime we ask. Off course children are never fashioned like this. They have the mind set of receiving anything they ask for, be it a chocolate ice cream cone or an expensive toy.

It is interesting to note that the world only responds to those who ask. To move closer to what you so desire and want, you have to keep on asking.

Here is an important acronym to remind us about asking;-

A -- Always
S – Seeking
K – Knowledge

A worthy note to imprint in our minds forever is “The Use of Knowledge is Power.”

It is believe we receive all kinds of information, ideas, strategies, influential people and even money each time we ask. Obviously the rewards attached when we ask are substantial.

Listed below are three (3) essential reasons why people fail to ask when the opportunity arises.

1)    They possess a belief system that says it’s wrong to ask.
2)    Low self- esteem / confidence
3)    They fear the possibility of being rejected.

Our Belief System;-  Just as the Bible says, “Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be open unto you.”  This statement alone is far more powerful than any odd belief system we may have inherited in the past as a growing up child. It is necessary we constantly analyze certain limiting belief system, if we really want to experience the rewards of asking. It is important for us to realize that there are other ways to view life and circumstances.

Low Self Esteem;- When we suffer from lack of confidence, it hinders our willingness to ask. Take a bold forward. Trust yourself. The worst thing that can happen to anyone who ask is to get a “No” for an answer.

The Fear Of Rejection;-  Certainly, so many people cannot control their emotion when they are being rejected. Even when the word ‘No’ is mentioned to them, it was never meant as a personal turn down.

If you experience the three (3) essential reasons above, all you have to do is to take a leap of faith. Eradicate all negative old beliefs, feel good about yourself and understand that life is not always perfect. You win some, you lose some.
